I now write about culture, food, women’s issues, travel and more for publications like Salon, The Washington Post, The Atlantic, Men’s Journal, Outside, The Hairpin, Gourmet, CHOW, Babble, Preservation, BBC History, Gastronomica and lots of others. Upon graduation I hightailed it back down South to spend the next couple years as a reporter with Raleigh’s News & Observer, followed by a stint at Outside magazine, before going freelance.
